The Malloy Book

ABOUT

MALLOY is a book of true-life stories that unveil hold-your-breath adventures, brinksmanship challenges and life-altering pursuits: every one of them authentic. In car racing, car collecting, classic car restoration, business building, gut-level investing, committed giving, morphing near-failures into stratospheric successes – and much more. Above all, MALLOY is about taking the risk, fear be damned, on track and off-track.

I played by the rules and got lucky,” Tom Malloy asserts. A modest understatement? You, the reader, will have to decide. In a magnificently visual large coffee-table book of 368 pages, MALLOY begins with a 9-year-old boy hot-rodding his father’s industrial tractor on Los Angeles city streets. After a fast moving multi-chapter life kaleidoscope of adventures untold, the book signs-off with an active, 80-something- year-old gentleman who sometimes in solitary moments still thinks of himself as that 9-year-old boy on his father’s tractor, dreaming of being a real racer.

This, after 50+ years of business wrangling and family devotion, 25+ years of race driving and car collecting, 30+ years as a co-sponsor of IndyCar teams (and other professional racing teams), 15+ years as a race team owner and 30+ years of honorable giving to human and educational causes. All of which remains in active motion today.  MALLOY, now written, printed and available as a timeless book, describes but cannot fully contain the man. His efforts, commitments and pursuits continue at full power and always forward – serving as an example to fellow enthusiasts in car racing and collecting – as well as readers in wide-ranging walks of life who abide in the operating principle of striving for the inspired result in all things worth living for.
